Based on the story of the healing of the lame man in Acts 3 this message highlights that as people we cannot give what we don't have, only what we do. In the story Peter said to the man "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you..." God does not expect us to give what we do not have, but what we do have. In Jesus we've all given us all unique personalities & gifting, he simply expects us to give what he has given us to give. For this reason every Christian can believe they have something to give in Jesus name.
Key Bible Text: Acts 3:1-9
Psalm 46:10 says; "Be still and know that I am God." This message reflects on those words & encourages us to keep our life simple. As people we can try to be God, we like to be in control or at least think we're in control. Then we end up making life more complicated than is has to be. This message encourages us to simply chill out & let God be God, to let him sit in the driving seat of our lives & trust him to take the wheel.
This message by Sligo City Church member Eric D'Errico focuses on the glory of God & challenges Christians to live their lives for his fame & kingdom & in view his greatness.
