Keeping in Step With the Spirit by Opening His Word

27/6/2013

“If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.” - Galatians 5:25
Picture
When we talk of being led by the Holy Spirit we need to make it clear he directs us primarily through the Scriptures he inspired. Through them he brings revelation, guidance, correction, vision, conviction, answers, encouragement, challenge & freedom to our lives as well as principles & doctrines we can build our lives on.

All of this helps us to grow in relationship with God & keep in step with his will for our lives.

The Holy Spirit never bypasses the Holy Scriptures he inspired. This means we cannot be led by the Spirit if we undermine or undervalue his book. For this reason an open heart with an open Bible reveals & expresses a persons desire to be led by the Spirit. Likewise a closed heart & a dusty Bible reveals & exposes a persons desire not to be.

EVENING CELEBRATION: 8pm (Castlebar & Westport churches will be joining us at Eden Hill. Last time we did this was in Castlebar & it was a powerful night of prayer, prophecy & praise so please plan to attend if you can)

The times above are simply when the church building will be open for prayer over the next few days. If it doesn't suit to come to the building, or if the times don't suit, then please dedicate time to prayer at home if and when you can. If you are able we are also encouraging people to fast over the 3 days. This can either be done by fasting one day, one meal a day, or the whole three days... Or alternatively you may choose to fast something different than food like TV or Internet etc. It's up to you and is a private matter between you and God. If you do decide to fast please remember that fasting is not the focus, God is! The point is to dedicate extra time to seeking God for church, community and country. "It is about committing to a time frame of intentional prayer and fasting as a fellowship of Elim Churches in order to seek God’s mercy and favour and to listen to His voice. We want to pray for Ireland, the Body of Christ in Ireland and also the Elim Movement."

This years Aspire will be held in Ballyfermot Community Church on Sat 23rd June. Lynda Heron will be the guest speaker for the day. The charge for the day is €20 which covers everything and it would really help if all tickets are paid in advance of the event.

This is Elim Ministries fifth annual Ladies Aspire and it goes without saying that everyone is welcome to attend -- the more the merrier.

So ladies why not plan to attend and bring someone with you and trust that God will pour out his blessing as Ladies from across Ireland unite for worship, teaching and fellowship. If you're up for it contact Joanne on 0862541290 so transport etc can be arranged.

The days schedule is as follows:
9.45-10.15am is registration time
10.30-1pm Worship and Bible teaching
1pm-2pm buffet lunch
2pm-3pm - Bible teaching possibly followed by time of prayer ministry

Be a part of it.
